DIRTY RIDER

My, my.   Dirty rider did to blacks the same thing he did to Monica Lewinsky?   Am I missing something?   The American government "nuked" all over the place?   Please, someone tell me where we nuked so I can know to stay clear.   Oh, yeah, the tests we once used to do.   Gee, what a relief.   Listening to Jeremiah, I thought we had fried some foul-mouthed enemies, possibly some ungrateful psychotics who rant at how evil we are while being blessed by us.   Just what is it the american people are supposed to think of someone who shouts God damn America?   And what are we supposed to think when we hear that whites in america don't understand "the context" of those words because we are not black?   Are we supposed to drool at the mouth while contemplating this?   Are the people of this country supposed to believe that a 20 year member of a church that regularly espouses the viciously hateful statements aimed at white people and at our nation is the same person we are going to look to for bringing our nation together for the common good?   When, tell me, are we supposed to empty out our prisons, along with an apology to the inmates, informing them that we know they did many good things in life and the multiple murders, rapes, robberies, and other crimes were just something society did not understand in the right context?   I suppose the FBI destroying the ku klux klan is actually a white man's contrived conspiracy.   Folks, I would not buy a used car or a skateboard from the slick-talking Obama.   As a nation, I pray we send a message that hatemongers will not be allowed to duck and dodge with some slick deceptive words.   Would Jews vote for a man who ONLY NOW denounces the nazi group he was in for the last 20 years?   Are the american people that dumb that we believe Obama did not know of ANY of the sick-minded viciously hateful statements of his 'religious mentor?'   The rantings of Jeremiah Wright could only come from a diseased mind and yet the american people are supposed to think Obama knew nothing of this and yet somehow received Christian guidance from such a diseased mind?   I feel certain that Jeremiah Wright would excuse the 3 blacks from any prosecution for the 2 young white women they killed because we white people created AIDS to kill blacks and it is the fault of white people that the 3 blacks were driven to vioence.   Should we elect a rabid atheist who hates all religions even though he denounced his mentor who advocates bull-dozing all religious institutions, including schools and universities?   Our nation would elect a black man if indeed he is a leader we can believe will lead our nation well.   Seeing the hidden ugliness that Obama was comfortable being part of has opened eyes and i do pray we reject the slivering attempts of disassociation.   A man is supposed to speak his heart, to speak truthfully, to dare to be a leader unafraid of any light being shown on his CURRENT associations.   This is not a circumstance where a smear is being slung over mistakes of a man's past.   With my heart I say, "God Bless America!"

A Greek Pie

As time rolls on, make sure your lost love is never the music of compassion in your heart.   In youth, I had so much joy seeing the excited happy faces of my 7 sisters when I brought home pies from the Greek restaurant just down the block from where we lived in Brooklyn, New York.   The Greek always had a smile for me every friday night and 3 pies for only $3 each, knowing I was part of "That big family on the next corner."   Now, with my gray hair, I realize it was all like a wonderful dance of life back then when I had the dreams and passion of youth.   I found myself through the years thinking of finding "A greek pie" whenever I hoped to find a way of bringing happiness to someone.   The Greek restaurant owner was happy being compassionate to a poor family and I felt so happy seeing my sisters happy and they sure enjoyed the pies.   Indeed, this was a culture of life, a living of life that gives happiness even years later, and it was all possible because of a smiling, balding Greek man who wagged his finger telling me to remember the pies cost so much less because they're greek.   Fortunately, this was only one of so many lessons I had seen in my youth about something I came to understand is called compassion, and I came to fall in love with the loving that is all around all of us in this turbulent, troubled world.   My life's motto for many years has been: "Life is for living."   So embrace that sweet lilt of compassion in your heart when you bring joy to others and remember the greek pie.
